The ProChew Story
With many products on the market delivered in pouch form, Josh decided to take a different approach. Back in the kitchen, ProChew turned into a small, chew shaped product. This iteration was still too big and not stellar tasting, this is near the time when Josh realized he is not an expert in food science. The team decided to contract product development with a professional food co-manufacturing company specializing in protein bars. They came up with an amazing, fabulous tasting product, however there was one downside. This company had restrictions on how much caffeine they could put in their products. This version of ProChew had only 50mg of caffeine. Back at the same fire station, everyone loved the taste, but not a single test user said they could feel a bump of energy.
Josh and Mike were stuck again. They had a great tasting recipe, and a vision. But, who would help them deliver? That’s when they came across a company called Knechtel, based out of Chicago. Knechtel caught the vision immediately, increasing our caffeine amount, while also increasing our protein content and ensuring great taste. They finally had the perfect product!
